CEO PROFILE:

Jerome Dwight CA, CFA
President & CEO Bank of New York Trust Company of Canada

Mr. Dwight currently heads up the Canadian arm of the U.S Bank of New York Mellon (BNY). Under Dwight’s leadership, BNY Trust Company has experienced record growth. The business has diversified from traditional trustee roles to include a variety of payment and administration services for complex restructurings, public and private infrastructure projects and securitizations. In 2008, the company successfully won a major mandate to administer Canada’s asset-backed commercial paper restructuring. Valued at $32 billion, this is the largest restructuring of its kind in Canadian history.

Mr. Dwight began his career as the Vice President of Finance at the Canadian private equity firm Bayshore Capital Inc. where he worked in Mergers and Acquisitions during the dot-com boom. In 2001, he went to Ernst & Young, advising Canadian multinationals and financial institutions on cross-border acquisitions.

Prior to joining BNY, Dwight served as Chief Financial & Chief Operating Officer of Computer Horizons Canada, a global technology services firm where he was the lead a massive turnaround plan and established highly profitable outsourcing centres in Quebec, Mexico and India.

In addition to an MBA, Mr. Dwight holds both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Mr. Dwight was recently named one of the 2008 recipients of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 run by The Caldwell Partners.
