Dancing Damsels Organizing Dance FEST on 18th October 2014

Toronto:

The Dancing Damsels Inc. - a community oriented not for profit organization and dance promotions company is organizing a DanceFest - a fundraiser dance festival on October 18, 2014 at The Meeting House, 2700 Bristol Circle Oakville, ON L6H 6E1 - to showcase all world dance forms on one stage.

All Indian dances like Bharathanatyam, Kutchupudi, Mohiniaatam, Kathak, Odissi , Garba, Bhangra, Lavani, and the International dances like Irish Dance, Contemporary,Flamenco, Salsa, Mexican, Brazilian, Ukranian, Hawaian/Tahitian, African, Belly Dancing, Japanese, Chinese, Thai , Hip Hop, Jazz/Ballet, waacking etc will be showcased in the festival.

Dancing Damsels have decided to use the profits of this event to fight against the women poverty this year.

Earlier, the kick off of the DanceFEST was headed by Chief Guest Mr. Jayadevan Nair founder of SARIGA,

Canadian School for Indian Music with the lighting of the lamp, on 11 th May 2014 at the Woodbine Banquet hall, Etobicoke.

Grand Sponsor of DD DanceFest 2014 –Manoj Karatha of Remax Realty Inc; and the Gold Sponsor Sujit Nair of Sunlife Financials –inaugurated the sponsorship campaign by handed over the sponsorship cheques .

Preetha Kandamchatha (Nrutha Kala Kendra Dance Academy), Gayathridevi Vijayakumar (Nupura school of Music & Dance), Harikishan S Nair (Regatta Kala Kendra ), Mala & Rajesh Pisharody (Aadi Shankara School of performing Arts), Ranji Thaya & Basha Jailani (Prima Dance School), Sujatha Ganesh (S.G Expressions), Roshini Ambattu (Arpan Academy of Performing Arts) etc; are the organizing partners of this event.

The $10 -Early bird tickets are available till Aug 15 and after that the ticket rates will be $15. Tickets can be purchased from various Indian stores and dance schools in the GTA or can be purchased online from their
