I ususally cast my vote on the online poll, but for obvious reasons the results are not true. I am able to cast my vote multiple times which can rig the poll opnion in favour of MY opnion.

It will be more authentic if we are able to vote only after logging in and only 1 vote is allowed per poll for each ID.

Hope GG has time to correct this.

Actually it does have some sort of logic - it is based on the IP address of the user. I haven't looked at the code, but after some time it removes the entries from the database which allows same person vote again.

Second, it is not associated with the user-id as right now as even non-members can also vote.

We have about 20000 registered users. However daily visits are more than 25,000 - most of them are from non-members. So I would like to keep it associated with IP address rather than user-id.

Even with IP we have problems. What if a person is using shared computer?

Thanks GG if you get time to look into it. But i believe it is better to have it user ID based since those are the opinions that matter. For Guests who are not interested in registering may not be interested in the poll either. Also, I believe it will be easier to have control. currently I am able to vote everyday...
