Hi,
What is your educational background ? I can tell you that its not very easy for a new immigrant to do CMA initially, as soon as u land, unless you are financially very sound.
To do CMA first you will have to gather credits which is usually min 6 months and can be two years depending on you. Then u have to clear CMA enterance which is quite difficult, spec the case study. If you clear in one attempt, great, otherwise it will take another 6 months.
Once u r in course, u need 1.5 yrs of operational experience and then 6 months of managerial experience. Its not easy to find managerial job so soon. CMA institute is little flexible in considering that but still...its not v easy.
Lastly it is an expensive course, govt does not provide any funding for this. (not covered under OSAP). CMA institute does give some concession in fees, if u become unemployed during the course, the institute might reduce its fees.
Usually people get employed in a good company and if the company provides tuition fees, they pursue CMA. But again to find such a job initially is a challenge.
I am not discouraging you but I would recommend you to come here, settle down and consider this after a year or so once u have a good job.
Hope this helps, if u need any other info, pl let me know.
Thx
