This is a special Messege to the Moderators and Management of Canadiandesi.com

Being a Pakistani, I would request you to please kindly prevent your Indian fellows from starting such topics that could create problems in the future.

The thread titled as "Terorrist links to Pakistan" will not help this site but instead it will fuel the unfortunate fire that already exists between the two nations.

If you want this site especially this discussion forum to proceeed peacefully and produce fruitful results, then kindly delete such topics.

Thank you for your fine cooperation and look forward to receiving your prompt response.

Yours Sincerely,

Fahad Ahmed

Well, CanadianDesi ofcourse not a political platform. It is to discuss immigration and settlement issues. And the issues are common no matter a person is Indian or Pakistani or Bangladeshi or whatever country he/she is from.

Quite often, people put issues related with our home countries and some of them can be offending like the one you pointed out. However if you have realized, this board with 22000 plus members is still very clean and we do not allowed any such posting. Thanks to our active moderators team. Thanks for pointing this one to our notice.

Welcome to the board and have a positive contribution. I removed the thread you pointed out.

Regards.

I tried searchig for the article but I assume it has already been removed.

However, is it wrong to post such articles (again, assuming that is not an out and out attack)? Aren't people free to post their opinions?

It seems similiar to the cartoons in Europe that have inflamed Muslims, whereas European nations are calling it a right under freedom of speech.

If I were to link an article on subject of Kashimiri terrorists from say, India Today, with the same content, would it be removed?

Truth is bitter my friend. Have an open mind. You are in canada.
It is known fact that terrorism is sponsored by certain individulas in your country.
Why do you feel guilty nobody is accusing you.

Prejudices, it is well known, are most difficult to eradicate from the heart whose soil has never been loosened or fertilized by education; they grow there, firm as weeds among rocks.

After all it is an article published in some media. and you will find 100s of such posts / articles all over the world.
Can you go and stop all of that?
Or can you deny the facts in that?
We are in world where no news is hidden no truth is hidden.
You should keep an open mind being in a good open society.

Are you threatening the very existence and proceedings of this forum? I think the Moderators should take a stance here, since to me this comment is more outrageous than probably the article itself (which I haven't read of course).

Hmm good point alexm...Moderators, what say you ? If such a post is found in, say, India today or other such magazine, will that post be deleted ?

:kaioken:
The post in question has been removed so I cannot comment on the contents. However I would like to address what you have to say here.

First, what is it with the threat? If you do not like anything posted here - you have the power to refute and the right to make your counter-arguements. It is an open forum - much like Canada. You may not be used to such freedoms, but those are the perks of living here. :canflag

Second, my friend Fahad, Terrorism and it's connection to Pakistan is well documented by every free press in the WORLD! Threats may shut down a discussion here but it will not eradicate the issue.

Finally, let me tell you the last time someone pee'd me off here - I threw my Computer out of my window - PROBLEM SOLVED! You should try it. Maybe that way, we may not see you here again!

Vee
