Chandresh,

I am not expert of Astrology, not even a casual reader.

Read my post in different light where I am asking anyone to disregard my post, or prove otherwise. This is not asked in the tone of arrogance, but with a desire for learning.

Regards.

TO,

First, while your post might not be considered total arrogance, it definitely cannot be considered a desire for learning.

This is in no way a tune that would go along with 'desire for learning'

Secondly, and more importantly, if you know that you are not even a casual reader, you should NOT ever, and I stress on the word ever, call someone else's belief of discussion 'baseless' - that is worse than arrogance.

If I were you, I would simply accept the wrong done instead of proving what you intended, simply because from your post it does not seem you intended to learn - all seems to be an intention to insult or ridicule.

Chandresh

Hello Chandresh,

My intention is to hammer sleeping minds with rational thinking, and not to follow something blindly or just because he/she said so. My language may be plainly blunt without any mincing words, but there is NO arrogance.

Honestly, how many people know what they are doing and why they are doing, while following superstitions. Typical response is - it is a ritual/custom, or my parents or pandit ji told so.

I am still a learner. And I think Everyone's journey to Him is an individual one.

Regards.

Hammering will always provoke noisy and painful reaction - whether it be sleeping mind or sleeping body. Even if you hammer a nail into piece of wood, it would splinter and make noise. So be ready to face that if you want to hammer. However, with humans, it is better to act in a soft manner than hammer - you will always receive a pleasent or friendly response.

However large a human being's brain be, it is impossible for any one to know and learn everything that happens to him in life - and so he relies on someone else's advice or rules. Do you follow the medication advise from a doctor when you are sick or do you ask him to explain each and every reaction that the medicine will generate once taken, and how it will be beneficial for your body?? (If you did that you would become a doctor because he simply uses that knowledge to prescribe medication). At times he might prescribe you simple rest rather than any medicine because he knows what chemical reactions will help you once you rest.

though being blunt and arrogant are not interchangeable words, usually they are treated by human beings as such. So is the reaction of the society and whether or not you consider those two words to be different, the public in general will percieve it that way, no matter what.

Superstitions means following something without knowing what you are doing. If they knew what they were doing, it would not be called superstition, but logical thinking. Both have important places in society and human's life.

That is right - simply because neither everyone is a genious, nor they want to insult their elders or people who have been provided place of respect in society. When learned people found that they could not explain the reasons of the unseen to masses, the best way they found was to make it a religious or superstitious belief, which masses can follow and be benefitted.

By not following some of the superstitions since you do not get a logical explanation you might benefit today - but not necessarily since you might be doing (or not doing) something which you ought to but did not, simply because you did not know why it should be done.

And by the way, while you might be looking for logical and scientific explanations to your questions, how can you be sure that you are intelligent enough to understand those deep theories which geniuses took a life time to learn or discover? May be those learned people do not want to give full explanation to you because they are sure you do not have the capacity to understand those intelligent interpretations.

Chandresh

I am still a learner. And I think Everyone's journey to Him is an individual one.

Mr Thinkingone, by saying this section, Tuli wanted to say astrology section, he is not refering the whole website, which u have understood.

And noone is stopping u to do ur karma. But we guys who believe in astrology, if we can reduce the intensity of our problems, or take a better decision at the point of confusion, what problem do u have? Generally, people match horoscopes or do certain remedies at the time of marriage so as to get a good married life. I guess u will advice all of them not to do this.

I am sure many people approach Mr. Tuli either personally or through this website at the time of confusion and I think we shall appreciate his help, instead of giving such comments and disturbing him.

thanks guys. The point of starting this thread was not to gain any attention or to get into the proverbial hornet's nest but to share the knowledge and in the process help each other. Which I think is what educated and normal humans do. This is the process of increasing one's scope of thinking.

It reminds me of someone's quote" When all is said and done, more is said than done".So lets channelise our energies into doing positive things coz the stock is limited.

Thanx and regards

Their higher education did not have any effect on the rational thinking?! Is higher education supposed to oppose all the old and embrace new? Analytical thinking is one where you consider all the positive and negative aspects of things even superstition and judging them by merits and not with a prejudice.
