Completed the test today. Had to wait for almost two hours, just for a 5 min test.

The test on this site (http://www.canadiandesi.com/question.php) is extremely helpful. My hearty wishes to the person who created this test. :icecream: I found many new questions that I was not aware of.

I also did lots of practice on http://www.yourlibrary.ca." rel="nofollow">LINK I did not spent too much time reading the book, as I am bit lazy. I just kept on practicing till I started getting almost 100% correct answers.

Just a recommendation. Can somebody take time to update the answers on this site's test? It still says that opposition leader in Ontario Legislative Assembly is Ernie Eves and PM is Paul Martin :)

Dear Megha,

What was the reason for the two hour wait? Also, before the start of the test, do they ask questions? If yes, what type?

Thanks

Zack

Normally, after you walk in, so are another 30 to 50 people. Then, they call you one by one (or the family), check your passports and ask couple of questions if you have declared absences, etc. Then you settle down, wait for everybody to settle down as well. After that, they give instructions for the test and and and ....

All these takes a good hour or two.

Then the test is over in 5 minutes. All the hulla bulla for nothing:D

Exactly. I had my test at 3.30 PM, and there was an oath ceremony already in progress. So they opened the doors after 3.45.

And they ask questions to ensure that you are familiar with English or French. I saw two ladies, who could not answer the questions asked to them properly. I was shocked to know that one of the lady had negligible knowldge of English. Not that one needs to be fluent in English, but familiarity with English is one of the primary requirement of citizenship.

Also, the test duration is of 30 min. And I saw few people who seemed to be struggling with test. So whether you take 5 or 25 min for test - it is all relative

Here's another link that might be very useful for anyone doing their citizenship test. It's a series of interactive tests that are set up just like the real thing, so it's good practice especially just before you go for your test:

See here: http://www.immigrationguides.com/citizenship/" target="_blank">http://www.immigrationguides.com/citizenship/</a>

BTW - like the OP, I was also too lazy to read the book, just used online tests..
