Delays can happen for multiple reasons..

Please see my timeline ,

My file was delayed as the agent was not able to make a decision and had to forward it to a higher officer.

In my case i was away from the country for 2.9 years so they wanted to ensure i was back.

U should ask ur wife to keep calling the processing center maybe once in 2 weeks, sometimes depending on the person they reveal additional about the cause of delay.

but my application was send by my spouse at miss, and came to know she is eligle for sponsorshil and then it has come to delhi for procesing on December 18th it has ben two months now. Still the online status of my wife shows in process, so any one with the timelines of December in Delhi with their file.
Pls do give their details.
So we can know the status of each other

Since u were in out of country for sometime it will delay ur application for police/security clearance from UK.

You should expect a time line of at least 3-4 months after delhi receives it .

My wife got hers from delhi in 15 days of the file moving , but she has never left india.

Its been over 4 months now since we started processing my wife's visa, on feb 2nd, her passport was send to delhi and its going to be 3 weeks now and no news about the passport...

any one how long it will take to get the passport back from delhi?

Prior to sending passport they had requested for additional photos and police celerance from middle east, where she lived for a breif time...

Does anyone know how long will it take to get the passport back??
