hi all,
i am about to sponsor for my wife but i have been getting worried about the OPTION C PRINT OUT...
i have filed for he tax return only recently in march end and i wonder how long it will take for them to assess this and send me the refund, that then i can order my option c printout...
Is there any way we can do without this print out if i need to file for my wife sooner, since i called the REV canada oofice and they said it will take about 16 weeks to get the assessment done after which about 2 weeks for the option C printout to be sent...
pls advice,
Thanks,
beachwaterz...in trouble....
Well beachwaterz
I dont know the answer to ur qs....these immigrations things are such that i dont want to give a wrong advice. Well the intent of option C is to prove ur income i assume... so may be an official alternative to that may be fine. Best would be to call cic call centre. 1 888 242-2100....
...may be call an immigration consultant..they might answer this free of charge..may be!!!
...as a supporting documentation....may be you can attach your tax return form....check with your accountant too....
waiting for so long i.e 16 weeks is too long.....i am sure there has to be an alternative ( logically speaking since this doesnt seem to be the most important part of the application as compared to other things)...

Spousal sponsorship doesn't require that you meet LICO requirements..
So tax returns are used more as possible proof of intent and ability to live in Canada.
Option C print-out are just fine.. Even CIC website and application kit mention the same thing..
Yes spousal sponsorship doesnt require any proof of Income. I came to Canada last year and I didnt have any tax returns. Since I didnt file any taxes I wasnt able to provide any Option C print out also. (They provide Option C printout after 3 months of your first tax filing). So I just filed my application with my paystubs and a letter from employer showing my income. The sponsorship application is already approved by CPC-M.
