Hi Guys,
My wife finally got the letter from the Canadian embassy in New Delhi. They just want her passport and a couple of passport size photographs.
But you guys wont believe how my wife got the letter. After Kishore and Ruvs posted that their spouse have received a letter from the Canadian embassy on the 25th of May I was worried that my wife should have received the letter as we have the same timeline. So I told my wife on Sunday 28th of May to send someone to the post office the very next day just to let the postman know that we were expecting a very important letter.
When someone went to the post office guess what they had the letter from the embassy and it should have been delivered around the 25th of May. The postman said that he thought that no one by my wife's name lives on that address (as my wife is still using her maiden name), and he did not even make an effort to inquire. Moreover he was going to return the letter to the Canadian embassy ............... OH MY GOD!
Anyway it was a close call but in the end my wife got the letter and she will send her passport to New Delhi tomorrow.
That was disturbing! Anyway I am glad that she received the letter, Congratulations and let me me your progress
KIshore

Hi Kumar
Don't panic! I am sure you will get letter some time this week. Based on posts on this site some people got letters 2 to 2 1/2 weeks later. So wait for some more days. I know it is easy to say...
lemmi know your progress
kishore
Hi Krishna,
I got the sponsorship approval letter last week..But its been almost all 19days and my wifes PR APPLICATION STATUS on web says "NOT AVAILABLE".According to timelines i think they have to start processing my spouse case but they havent updated anything on net...so was jsu thinking whether they opened my file or not..meanwhile i applied for my wifes "extension of temporaryvisitor status" because she will complete her 6 months in july..she came here in JAN 2006...so according to IMMIGARTION rules she has to apply for her extension before 40days so i applied it few days back.So i am even waiting for her extension so that she can stay with me until she gets her passport requesition letter....
Regards,
Kumar
