Hi,
Japan is overvalued. I would not put my money on Japan. Japan is on its way down.
I would look at the emerging markets of China, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan,Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong instead. Please do your own research on these stock markets/ economies.

A few days back I was reading that Japan would benefit the most from the Asian economic growth. Japanese companies are present in all these economies – China, India, Malaysia, Thailand.

I would assume developing economies would likely give higher rates of return than Japan. I have also heard that the controls in place are better in India than in China.

If you have a 3 yr+ horizon you should conseratively get 20% compounded from the Indian market - good mutual funds.

last the year apla co did report showing that due many factors Nikkei will move from 12,000 to 15,000. It overshot to 16,000.
This year apla co. doing the report showing it will go up to 20,000.

Lakin as somebody tolding, it is the better to invest in the emerging markets like brazil, russia, india, china.

If you are wanting to see how the mutual funds performing please visit :
http://www.agf.com" rel="nofollow">LINK

as guideline.

Go down to left hand corner where giving the AGF fund prices and clicking on "see full fund prices" and whole list will open and you can check Japan class to date give only 6.7% return and China and emerging market funds giving more than 20% return so far year to date.

Please only use as guideline to see how the markets overall performing. Apun not in any way suggesting you buy AGF funds, only use as benchmark.
To invest please consulting with financial advisor.

Maybe apla illustrious Pramod ex-IG can shedding the more light.
