Hi! As you know India's economy is starting to boom. And many jobs are from North America are going to India.

I was just wondering if anyone is seeing a migration reversal. Do you know of people who are leaving this place to go to India?

I for one am thinking about it.

I know a couple of families who've gone back from the U.S. One of them decided to quit his IT manager job here and go back because of his kids. He was really concerned when his kids used to stay home all day and either watch TV or play video games and most of their friends were "online". And the other family went back because both the husband and wife were very spiritual minded and could not come to terms with the materialism here (although I don't think its much better in India these days).

The fact though is that for every one guy who goes back, there's probably a 1000 sitting in India who can't wait to come here, so can't call it an exodus by any means.

If you don't mind, what are your reasons for thinking about going back?

I have been here nearly 4 years and I think the foremost reason for me to go back is I am pretty much bored of the lifestyle here.

The social life (for me) sucks. It could be also because I am in a much smaller city (waterloo).

So answer to your question: boredom.

. I've lived in Waterloo for a while so I know exactly what you mean. I used to come to GTA every weekend and used to dread going back on Sunday evenings. Lekin papi pet ka saval tha.

I moved to Missisauga couple of years back and trust me its way way better in terms of social life. There's a lot of desis here and you won't have any problems having a great social group here.

So if your main reason is boredom, it might be a simple question of moving an hour east rather than moving to the east of the planet .

Also I think Canadiandesi can help in that regard too. The first meeting called is on the 10th of Jan, see if you can make it. I figure its a great way to make new friends.

ok. Will try to make it. Yeah I have been trying to move to GTA area, but I seem to keep getting jobs only in Waterloo .
