Please help! Been called for finger printing to New Delhi

Hi Masoodji:
I was hoping you could comment on this or anyone who has any idea about this. My spouse (Canadian citizen) submitted our application under family class (spousal) to get me sponsored. New Delhi High Commission made a request for my passport and Georgia Clearance Police certificate in the month of June and I submitted my passport and PCC to them in July, 2006. I have been waiting ever since for my immigration to come through and just yesterday I received a telegram from New Delhi High Commission asking me to come in person to New Delhi to get finger printed.
What I don’t understand is after sitting on my passport for almost 3 months why would they ask for finger prints at this stage? Is this a way to call me for interview or does it mean more investigation into my application. I am not sure what to expect now..does this mean my application would be delayed further or is this a new procedure being followed by Canadian High Commission.

I am really concerned about what to expect. Any help will be appreciated.

I am a fellow PR applicant at N Delhi and received the same telegram on 25th Oct asking for the fingerprints.. went there on the 8th of the following month and gave fingerprints on a form... since then no response...
Kindly let me know when u appeared for fingerprinting and if u have heard anything after that... and if u dont mind ur whereabouts in india.. I am in Patiala, Punjab.

hi friend
mine is also the somewhat same story.

my spouse sponsered me in march 2006 and the new delhi office started processing my application on may11

then after few days i got letter for submission of my pp for further process.

but than till jan 2007 i got nothing 2 hear frm them.

than in feb they called me to come to delhi for fingerprints

and now its july 2007 and again there is nothing.

did anybody other got the fingerprints printed in new delhi pls let me know
and pls reply 2 this message

what and when happened?

in depression
