Scored 2 in the third one dayer in south africa. He is unable to face fast bowlers. He needs to sit out and make way for others who can do well.

Make way for whom? Yuvraj is out of action for 6 months or so due to injury. Kaif and Sehwag are not in form either. Atleast Sachin also bowled a tidy spell in addition to 35 runs in the first one-dayer.

Although I admit, 2 consecutive defeats by 100+ runs stings. They didn't even put up a decent fight.

OTOH, I can see Sourav and Laxman smacking their lips in anticipation. Wouldn't be surprising if either of them received a call-up soon!

To JH
Saurav and Laxman again?!
During the last 10 years we find that Agarkar has made as many comebacks. Just like writing IIT or Civil Services exam there must be a cap on players coming back after injury, may be not more than 2 times. After that the selectors must start looking for other players (even if the injured player claims fit), probably from smaller towns. As of now players get selected only from big cities and may be from places like Hyderabad, Baroda or Chandigarh, if the selectors belong to these places. Players like Dhoni and Sreesanth have been found to be equally talented and successful.

Agarkar has been brought back number of times to keep Sachin happy. Selection process is based on the zones. Sort of reservation type. Players like Munaf Patel are doing well.

After all, Sachin is a flat track bully. He is good on batting tracks. He has failed most of the time when needed. Look at Ricky Ponting and others. They may not have lucrative sponsorship deals. They play for the country.

Well DIO you seem to have a very personal bias against Sachin, but i wonder why he did not get his pal Kambli into the side (if he could get Agarkar). Also there are only 3 players from Mumbai, previously we have had more then half the team from there.

Also Ramar if you look at the present team nine players out of present 15 are from small towns . Last few years have seen players from small towns coming into the Indian team in a big way. Infact players like Munaf, Irfan & also Sureah raina came into Indian side without playing a lot of domestic cricket. So i wonder what makes you think that Indian cricket lacks palyers from small town .

On another note Indian lost to a better side, remeber what this south african side did to Australia last season. This is a game & should be played in that spirit, dont look for scapegoats. Look what happened to England , they got plastered.

Putto,

If one keep crying even after you showed them stat, what else can you do to prove Sachin's best?

Player - ODI - Avg.
Rahul Dravid - 8 - 20.25
Viru Sehwag - 7 - 17.00
Yuvraj S - 4 - 18.00
M Kaif - 4 - 20.00
M Dhoni - 8 - 20.42
S Raina - 8 - 15.42

Then you have

Sachin - 8 - 47.28

The others are not even reaching at 40% of the Sachin's average.....

There is no comparision. Every time expecting a century from Sachin is too much...

Things seem to be getting worse for the team with Dravid out due to injury, and guess what.. Laxman is back in!
