Was Kimveer Gill who shot students in Montreal college not a Desi.

CNN is reporting that he is a south korean student, not Chinese.
Wherever he is from, this is a tragedy. Innocents are dead for no fault of theirs. Thanks to the gun culture in USA, anyone can get firearms. Drive-by-shootings are common.

Gun laws are different in the USA than in Canada - agreed... But one should not forget the shootings in Canada as well (Montreal shootings in 1992 and the recent one), which are becoming (unfortunately) more common.

It seems the guy was a recluse and a loner. Busy on the chat rooms.
Is there a message to others? IMO, chat rooms and messengers have taken over the lives of some people. Sitting infront of a computer wearing glasses does not mean that a person has achieved something great.

All said and done, it was really v v tragic. I feel v sorry for parents.

Same way, I felt really sorry for the 8 or 10 yr old child died in bus accident in brampton few days ago. Can not imagine the pain the parents go through.
