You have completely missed the point. This video makes you think the techie life is glamorous? Well, you need a crash course in reality. If you want to move back to India thinking this is life, think twice.

There's no concept of weekends. There's no concept of a private time. You leave at 8 in the morning and you are back at 10 at night. You call this a glamorous life? The video depicts exactly what guptamik said: NEW HIRES ARE FRESH BAKRAS.
I thought everyone from accountants to doctors in India spent the same working hours . Yet IT pros get thrice the packages due to demand and outsourcing . Getting twice the salary then other contemporary pros makes you esteemed , sought after and relatively richer allowing one to lead a grand life style .Everything is relative .
I am sure after visiting Brigade Rd , Bangalore on week days and weekends that weekends do exist . isn't it true that in the US people slog , but for good salaries . Same is in India .
I bet other industries' pros who spend the same hours but get half wages would sure envy this as much as more of our regular $15/- waged CDs .

Regardsless of any profession a person is in, There is a great boom and good package available for the taking currently in India. Time off, weekends everything is available along with good package.
The only thing which discourages is the property rate in 8-9 cities. Read one article where software engineer getting a very handsome package unable to buy a Flat in Delhi/Gurgaon.

ummmm...do u know the population in Bangalore...especially now with the software boom? Its hard to find a deserted street. That doesn't mean an IT professional's having a great time...does it?
