Greetings,
I am planning to install a new dishwasher and am looking for brand/model as well as places to buy recommendation.
So far, I have considered Sears and Home Depot and the brands I have considered are Kenmore (via Sears), Kitchen Aid and GE.
Unfortunately, Sears does not have a wide variety of selection of brands other than Kenmore.
My selection criteria are -
1. Durability and reliability above all (I hate it when appliances that you pay hundreds or thousands for start breaking apart after 4 - 5 years).
2. Low level of noise
3. Price range is medium i.e. $500 - $700 or so.
Can anyone provide their experience and advice based on the above.
Thanks.

I would strongly recommend LG or Siemens to you. Checkout prices at Futureshop, Brick and Sears. With these brands you would get great quality and better service. They might not fit in your price range as they would be in the range to 800 +. But do check them before you decide.

It depends on which model of Kenmore you want to compare. Usually Kenmore is manufactured by Whirlpool and even by LG and Siemens. So the Kenmore models you have in mind would be comparable as they are the same ones offered by LG or Siemens!!!
