First of all, I would like to thank all the CD friends who helped me to understand all the aspects of Citizenship process. Yesterday I attended the Citizenship Test at Windsor, ON. I was worried because I live in windsor and I work in Detroit. There are too many US stamps in my passport and I had travelled out of country couple times. My test was 2.30 pm. I arrived at 2.00 pm. there were few Indians and about 10 Romanians. 2.15 pm they started calling one by one to check the documents. The staff seems to be very polite and nice. The only thing they got pissed off is when you dont understand the simple english. The staff was trying to ask this Romanian Lady, "Where is your letter we sent?" This lady could not understand it at all. When they called me next, I arranged my documents in such a way which made her really happy and relieved. she checked my landing paper, passport and picture id's. then she checked my passport with the dates i declared that i was out of country.
The checks was done withing 5 minutes and I am asked to go into the test room where they asked us to wait until everybody comes into the room. About 2.50 pm they had served the test questionnaire. Test was very simple and easy. I am done within 4 minutes. They told us that they will be sending a letter in 6-8 weeks about the test results. If we pass the test, the letter will have the oath date, or if we fail the test, because there is not Judge in windsor, we need to wait 6 months to meet the judge. I am hoping to get the oath date. my fingures are crossed.
My timelines are below. I would like to help my fellow CD friends and I am happy to answer any questions in this regard. feel free to post your questions. Thank you all.
