I applied for my citizenship second week of june 2007. I live in oakville mississauga area. is there a different time line for processing citizenship application example toronto vs oakville. I called to CIC office and it tells me that IT could take anywherer from 12-15 months. i have my friend who applied citizenship and got it three months. is there a different timeline for oakville or mississauga? pls give me your advise

I know your question is addressed to Mr. Massood (who has been away from the site for quite sometime) .

The call center gave you the official timeline (that is 12-15 months).

These days people are getting citizenship pretty quickly (like your friend got in 3 months).

It appears that Mr. Massood may not have got much returns from the time invested in this forum so he has quit?

Alexm,
I think your guess is wrong. Mr. Masood himself has clarified from one of his posts that he is doing this purely on a voluntary basis. He even said that only ONE person from Canadian Desi had approached him for his services and that is a negligible % of the people who have got valuable advise from him on the CD forum. He had also stated that he even answers so many question for free to the people (prospective clients) who come to his office.
My guess is that he is either busy or he might have been angry with the posters who time and time again took pot shots at/got into verbal arguments with him inspite of his valuable free advise.
This is a valuable lesson to Candian Desi forum members. It can happen in real life too.
I just wanted to post this so that his name does not get tarnished or for his valuable services getting insulted.

tamilkuravan,

it seems that you are very impressed with this guy Masood. what is think is that he may have thought of getting good business by investing in this forum but people are not fools. they know who is good and who is not. when Mr Masood reliaze that he is not getting any business he stops writing in this forum cuz nothing is here for free. if u r favoring that guy there must be some reason behind that may be something u will not want to share or any hidden relationship between u and Mr Masood. take care and bye.

My dear Amitabh Bhatia ,

I may be wrong but what makes you think you are so right ??? You have just written 08 posts and have passed a judgment on a senior respected member who has put in thousands of posts !!! ;)

If you scroll through all his messages (which itself will take weeks) you may be forced to change your opinion - if not then maybe I can forward you some of my personal messages in which I have offered him fees for his service and he has declined .

Totally agreed. Massood may have several reasons for not being active on the forum but "lack of good business" is certainly not one of them. Let's not knock someone who's done such a tremendous job helping hundreds here with his timely and accurate advice.
