Dear All,
I am a very new person on this site and yet to land in Canada although I have received my immigration papers so planning to come there quite soon.
Now my question is that right now I am running a small export business (Handicrafts/Fashion jewelry/Homefurnishing items etc.) from India and exporting mainly to European countrys and 1-2 customers of USA. I am just able to run the show and not doing some great business due to some bad decisions in the past and suffered great loses.
My sole intention to come to canada is to start the same business like open up an office there and start importing goods from India as my sourcing base is already well placed here.
You guys think this can work or should I be ready for a gas station/grocery store job or on the other thought just stick to what i do.
Any suggestion are most welcome even harsher NOs.
Thanks and regards

ULTIMATE & RAZASHAH,
I am also into EXIM and planing to start spices, FMCG biz in Canada.
My advice to Ultimate,
As you have done losses in past, don't repeat again in Canada. First catch a job related to your field i.e. with any EXIM company for any post (get ready for labour job also). This will help you to understand practically, the rules and regulations related to EXIM in CANADA. May be after 6 months or a year you can try your hands on own biz.
This is not an advice to you but I am going to do the same once I reach Canada.
Although I have not being to Canada, I have gathered many info from Net and thru friends. I will be in Canada after 6 to 8 months.
BTW, If you need any African handicrafts or wood carvings do let me know... I am in Tanzania, East Africa.
Please count me in. PM me for exchange of info.
