i though i should inform others about the process... our file is on queue now. As i posted earlier, our parents sponsorship was done on Aug 2007, i was hoping to wait more then 36 months... but luckily we got letter from CIC, they have assign officer , means file is in queue.

however, i had made some error filing the form first time, so i had to send them " Application to Sponsor and Undertaking" and "sponsorship agreement " along with job letter and pay stub.

I got lucky they didn't rejected my file due to error filling the application.

the reason for my post:
1 - it seems CIC has 36 months on the web but its actually 28 months for our file
2 - don't do error when file the form ( not every one get lucky like me )

How long does the file (parents) sit at Delhi after financial part is cleared?

Anybody recently received any go ahead from Delhi for parents for permanent residence?


My timeline as below

We received your application to sponsor xxx on October 16, 2006.

We started processing your application on January 30, 2009.

We sent you a letter on January 30, 2009 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing xxx application on May 5, 2009 (Delhi).

Medical results have been received.

our application for parent's sponsorship was made in 2007. the letter acknowledging it's receipt is dated july 12, 2007. we have not heard anything further so far. also, i can find nothing in that letter which will enable me to check the e cas. am i doing something wrong?

thanks so much for the prompt reply. yes, we are from india. also, yes, i do check those depressing processing times. i was concerned as a member, with ack dt aug 2007, wrote they had already recd approval from mississauga. made me wonder whether we were missing something. thanks again. hoping for some movement in the processing times chart this week!
