So I thought of asking CD user about this. – from inside I know we have no choice but to long wait but hopping for miracle - all I wanna see his happiness on my wife face
Yes, very good point - that is our worry too... her brother is in last year of mechnical engineering - will be done by may 2011 ( since he is good at it )
we dont want him to go further since he will not be able to complete full study.... can we sponsor him for further study in canada ?

I dont quite understand your point, when you say, you do not want him to go further with studies.. If he finishes his BE in May 2011, then he should immediately enroll in a Masters program. That will keep him busy until 2013. If by then his visa is still pending, then he should enrol into a 3 year LLB program or a PHD. If you make him discontinue his studies, he will lose the chance of being sponsored along with your mother-in-law. He has to be a full time student until he gets the PR.
Also, you cannot sponsor him to study in Canada, as you are doing in case of sponsoring a parent. He can apply for a student visa and you can support him financially, however, that has no bearing on him gaining an advantage in his student visa application.
Sorry I was too fast to reply and didn’t read properly,
My point was – we don’t want him to study further in India after his done with Mech , cause if he start with further study then he will not be able to complete so it will waste of time. Instead we are looking into get him student visa so he can study here in Canada which will benefit him later on.
Since we have sponsored him, is it going to affect him to get student visa ?

No, applying for a student visa will not be affected by his application under PR.
Hi,
I have a question. Is it true, when the parents' sponsorship is approved (within Canada), and the file is to be filled up and submitted by parents in India they need to show their marriage certificate alongwith their wedding pictures? I applied in Nov. 2008. Anyone else applied during the same time?
Also, I have included my mom in the application and made my dad a principle applicant. How does the process go when they need to submit the application in India? Would they need to fillup-submit the applications individually (I hope not, but confirming), or as one application where my dad will remain the principle applicant and mom to as accompanied?
Would appreciate the response from people who have gone through the process.
Thank you.
