this is our process time:

We received your application to sponsor ... on September 4, 2007.

Dependents listed on the application are: .....

We started processing your application on February 14, 2011. -

what will be the next steps ? - are they gonna send file to delhi ? are we getting some form to fill up again ?

First time I able to login to see the status online. (Even last week I was not able to login).

I can see the status: Application received on 15th November 2007

How long it will take to start processing and make decision?
When should I expect the application kit for applying in India?

Anyone has recent experience on this?

Your parents will have to submit their PR application to New Delhi. The forms can be downloaded from the CICwebsite or you should be receiving them in the mail.

Current timeline for processing is 42 months, so you shou should be getting approval in the next 3-4 months. You will get the application kit in the mail after that which your parents have to submit to New Delhi. Alternately, they can download the forms from the CIC website and start gathering the documents. It will be another 3-4 years until they get their PR.

Hi,

I would like to know whether or not could I submit two seperate sponsorship applications. I already submitted my parents sponsorship in 2008. Now, I am looking to sent my in-laws sponsorship application as well. Is it possible? What are the implications? What are the factors that could affect/impact the existing one in anyway? Could there be any negative impact on the existing applications' timeline or decision? Although, I know it might take about 7-10 years for the new parents' sponsorship applications to get through now, what can I look for in terms of the timeline for this new application, if submitted?

If yes, and I have to calculate the income requirements, should I need to calculate for 6 people (my wife and I, my parents-2, and my in-laws-2).

Please advise.

1) Yes..you can apply for your in-laws (rather, co-sign on your wife's sponspoship). I have done the same.
2) There are no factors/negative impact on existing application. Both of them are treated independently.
3) You are looking at 7-8 years, 4 years in Canada and 3-4 years in India, at the current timelines. They may increase or decrease based on government policy.

For all you know, the government may come out and say that we are stopping all parental sponsorships. There is precedent, as until the eighties, one could sponsor their grown up brother and sister (and their dependants), which was done away with. Better to get your application in for your in-laws and hope that things come your way,eventually.

its been month already.... how long we should wait for kit? status is same nothing change on website ....
