Hi all,

Nice to be Canadian Desi --- full of experts sharing lots of invaluable information

Well I have one query regarding having H1 B (USA) and also Canadian PR.

[1] Information about PR and Job Visa

Now the matter is Its been a 1-Year I have Canadian PR.
Now after 1-Year I am in USA on H1 B Visa.

[2] I am looking for an information how to keep both simultaneously so that I can also get my Canadian Citizenship while working on H1 B in USA

The Information I have gathered So far :

Option [1] :------
============
If I can live on Canada-USA Border---- on Canadian Side and Commute USA for Job.

QUESTION
========
Is this possible so that I can get Canadian Citizenship in 3 Years If I manage to commute this way ??

If yes which is the best place to live on Border in Canada ? Which Cities in USA are close to Canadian Border ?

Option 1 that you have descibed is possible and some desis on this forum have done it (living in Canada and commuting to work in the USA). The border city I know is Windsor, Ontario and it is very close to Detroit. You can commute to Detroit while living in Windsor.

My son is working in Minneapolis(U.S) He is a also PR card holder .
Could any of you suggest the nearest place to Minneapolis where we all can stay in Canada and atleast once in a week he will visit us and go to Work (Minneapolis)

No Cdn city is very near to Minneapolis. The closest big ("livable"

cdn city is Thunder Bay, ON (at least 6 hrs) or Winnipeg (at least 7 hrs).
