Dear CDs,

My Parents sponsorship application was submitted to Case Processing
Center-Mississauga and acknowledgment letter received in January 2006

I have following questions.

1) how long does it take CHC Delhi to process Parents application after being
approved by case processing center Mississauga?

2) Upon approval of application, what all documents are to be submitted along with
application to CHC Delhi by my parents?

no idea i think it is depends on your case

i applied mar 2005 and case is forwaded to chc delhi 15 sep 2007. my

parents only recived a letter showing that chc delhi got kit filled by parents

our file is sitting at delhi from 2 months no responce yet if i heard anything from them i ll update you

Trinity> Going by the current processing speed, it should take about 24 to 26 months from your date of application for your in-Canada part of the processing - so around Jan 2008 or so till CIC-M makes a decision.

2) Upon approval of application, what all documents are to be submitted along with application to CHC Delhi by my parents?

Trinity> You (sponsor in Canada) will be mailed a kit with all instructions which you will need to forward to your parents in India within 6 months. In turn, your parents need to fill in all forms and send the supporting documents (6 photos each, PCC, copy of your PR card, passport copies, birth certificate copy, etc.). Medical request is sent later and not part of the initial kit. Current processing times in New Delhi range from a mininum of 5 months to a maximum of about 42 months.

Everything else remaining the same, yes the processing time would be the same. However, since no 2 cases are alike, some cases would take more time than others. The times given on the CIC website are actual (past 12 months ending Oct 2007) times for parents sponsorship.

Hi Saathi,
CHC Delhi started working on my parents' files on Oct. 2007, similar to your case. My parents submitted their passports on June 24, 2008. It's almost 2 months now, but, still waiting for visa. Can you please let me know your parents' status ? I'll really appreciate that. Thanks.

purav--when did your parents finish your medicals ??? My parents did the medicals in mid march and there is no news from CHC delhi after that
