Clarification required

The form says Applicant Signature and Spouse Applicant Signature besides each other.

Do both have to sign all the forms or each will sign on the form that pertains to them. Applicant will sign his or her form and Spouse Applicant will sign his or her form.

I visited Indian High Commission today.

The first person to arrive there was at 6.30. I reached there at 7.30. My number was 9. The process was smooth but people were still complaining. The lady officer dealing for OCI applications is very nice in dealing with people. Most of people in front of me did not have proper photocopies. She allowed to get it done.

Best days to go - Tue,Wed,Thur. It was not that busy.
Busy days- Mon and Fri

There were less than 60 people applying today and there was no notice at the consulate saying that applications are restricted to 60.

Parking is available at Greewin Centre which is under the 365 Bloor Strret E. Max day rate is $15. Lot of parking available. Access to parking is via Mount Pleasant street.

Driving by car - take bay bloor exit on DVP.

I submitted OCI application last month by mail and today I got it back as it is rejected. Reason specified is spouse landing paper missing. I just got married recently and my wife is still in India. Her application for PR is in process and she is not yet a PR. How can I overcome this? Are there any other supporting documents that I can provide such as marriage certificate, AOR from CPC-M etc. Is there someone else who had been into this kind of situation? Please suggest.

Just an update,

Went to apply for OCI, Reached around 8:45AM on Febryary 13, 2009, called by OCI at around 11:00AM , Two ladies were inside and both were very nice and took about 7 minutes as papers were complete and in order. However, had to wait for one more hour as they printed receipts for everyone, all at one time and out of CGI at 12:15.

Person who reached there at 4:30 AM or 8:45 or 10:00, all got free at one time and got down in same elevator.

Good job by CGI and there is no ceiling on application that they will accept 60 in a day as mentioned by someone.

i am applying for oci for me and wife can i attach a single draft of 550 U.S instead of two 275$ , and also am applying for pio for my two kids below 10 years so it will be a 480$ cdn draft.

Single draft for multiple applicant as family group acceptable to CGI.

Deposited one draft for whole family and CGI accepted the same.

No worries, make one draft.
