How to best invest US dollars?

I have some US $ in a Canadian bank, the rate of interest is not that much, so want to find out other investment opportunities in US $ that would give me better rates of return (better than what ICICI, ING or HSBC gives).
Pls let me know.

Currently USD is taking a beating in the Forex markets and so hang in there till the market reverses.
When? wait for FED RESERVE CHAIRMAN Ben Bernanke's speech and reduction in the interest rates. Things may...... improve.!! for the USD.

I thought the new buzz word was US peso.
