Are you there?
Reminds me of Adnan Sami song
Rabba humko bhi to lift kara de...
Proud to be an Indian!!!!!
Where do the Ambani's stand.
When the BSE was 20K +, they were the richest in the world.
Maybe due to stock down turn they are now well below.

Hi TK,
Mukesh is at no 5 and Anil at no 6. The list is at the right on the link provided.
Mukesh was judged to be no 1 only for a day officially
Steve Forbes concedes that because of the parallel economy in India Mukesh is probably really the richest man in the world due the amount of "hot money" he has and that Bill Gates is probably worth less than him.He did not comment on Anil.
This was a month or so ago when he was in TO and before the new list came out.
I had posted a foto of him on CD shot at The Carlu on Jan 31 2008 where I met him.Should you wish to view it and see what Steve Forbes looks like go to home page and click on previous pictures on foto of the day and flip back to Feb 6.
Enjoy.
Mittal is no.4 and PK Singh (Rajput) of DLF, practically owns all of Gurgaon, is no.8 .
In the case of Singh and Baba Kalyani and a few others on the list, believe you me, a handful of Indians from the mighty TO had a hand in putting them there.
Singh was a real unknown to the Forbes team. So was Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge. And so was Pallonji ( a major share holder of Tata Industries). They have finally put Singh at more or less what he is worth. Last year, he was grossly undervalued and a team of Indians from TO spearheaded by the dean from an Ivy League university( where Ratan Tata studied) wrote the Forbes team a letter and got things straightened out.
For Singh to be in the top 10, you gotta thank the Indians from the mighty TO plus the dean of the Ivy league School w/o whose help this may not have come to pass.
Hang loose
