Money orders are acceptable according to website cgitoronto.ca. How much do you save? $1.50?

You can mail the application and save on the time to stand in queue .

Many thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences.

I called them again today and one noble soul picked up. He assured me that if I arrive before 8 am, in all likelihood, I will not have to give my originals. Further, he advised that I come on Wednesday or Thursday when the incoming case load is minimal.

Raj Bhai- I actually save over $20. My bank TD Canada charges $25 for the bank draft thus commiting broad day light robbery, and Canada Post charges only $4.75. Granted $20 ain't much but hey still enough to buy 3.5 Heinekens

Sherkhan, why is TD charging you that much for a single draft. The current rate is $6.50 (I think I saw at bank that is being revised to $7.50). See their website http://www.tdcanadatrust.com/accounts/fees.jsp
