I used to have an account with Scotia McLeod but gave it up because of account administration charges and high commission expenses. I moved to Questrade and I am happy with what they provide - considering the commission charges! Note that Questrade is a no-frills account. So far as my knowledge goes there are no annual charges.

I use the free realtime quotes available with the WebTrader product. I use the realtime quotes from finance.yahoo.com if I need any streaming quotes (i don't do daytrading ... so I don't care much about streaming quotes)
You can sign up for a demo at the website and try it out yourself.

I have just started using Questrade. I am not really happy with the customer service, terribly slow speed for communications, lack of information, etc. However, it IS the cheapest option so for small portfolios it would still make sense to use Questrade - just remember, you do get what you pay for.
Anyone has used E-Trade (recently bought over by BNS)?
Any experience, comments, etc?

Check out Think or Swim. Awesome platform especially for options and EXCELLENT customer service. Not as inexpensive as Interactive but much much better value overall.
