Any new from your end. I called them today. same thing they told me, 2 week ago.I dont know what is going on with Mississauga.

I called CIC this week. They said that the file is already transferred to Mississauga and just wait to hear for the test. The processing time is 12-15 months.

But the online status shows nothing about the transfer. It says "we started processing your application on Dec.1,2008".


I don't know how far to trust the CIC agents?

No Update from my side.

I called CIC last week and as per cic agents my case is still IN progress and not yet transferred to local office and may be by end of April my application will be transferred.

Application received on August 1st 2008

Application process started on Jan 27th 2009.

I have applied for my citizenship in Oct 2008 but since than i haven't heared anything from CIC. I called them couple of times and they have told me to wait untill i will receive my acknowledgement letter. Now i don't know how long will it take to get that letter. I appreciate if you share your experiece.

That is what they told me month and half ago. When I called last week, the cic agent told me that. The file is still on sidney and hasnt transfer to mississauga office yet. They are waitting for the certificate. But said everything is positive and security clearnce is done. When I told him that, I have been told me that, month and half ago. The cic agent, told me , why i am in hurry. Those cic agent, dont know anythig. Did you apply by yourself? I have applied with my wife.

Hi,

In case some documents in the citizenship application checklist are missing, when will cic inform me about that?
a) As soon as my application is opened?
b) After application processing begins when my application is transferred to a local office which in B.C.?
