Hi,
Does the scotia bank sell gold in all the branches?
Thanks.
I went to LAwrence+Weston branck for the gold, they stright away refused to sell me. They Said I have to go only 44 king street west during 9 to 5 with 2 pc photo ID and Cheque for gold.
I did not like this.

Wafers and Biscuits are made at the mint. There should not be any charge for doing this, as there is a stamp on the wafer as to its purity and weight with the makers name stamped with it. See a jeweler for your requirements. Bars, wafers, and biscuits: NO TAX. Coins are taxed.
Today the cash market for GOLD hit a low of $774.00 at 04:00 EST. It was down that much. The current spot market is at 780.00 see the web site in Link.

Freddie.
Its at $785 USD now.
Market watchers can tell us what should be expected next week.
I just bought one 1oz wafer/bar from scotia. I paid 810 USD including the commission/transport cost (which is 7 USD).
To buy a 10 gm of gold biscuit as of today from scotia will cost
275$+5 $ ( commission ) + shipping if not picked from Downtown .
If U sell it back to Scotia one will get 241 $ after deducting all fees e.t.c .
So it seems that Gold might be a good investment only for long terms .
Experts please shed more light ..
