What do you think about it? Do you think NSG including Canada will approve it?
Any pros or cons you can think about

i..........rock........!!!!!
Irock,
Let me first answer your concerns
1 My reply to your response is pretty quick ( I am looking at the response)
2) Debate can started by asking a simple question first or by expressing you views. It works both ways. Spark for a potential debate can be added either way. There are no hard and fast rules. No reason to get agitated over this!
Now that I have answered your concern. You can answer to this but I will not discuss this further as I have no intention to discuss anything else but the original topic.
Now for original topic.
You mentioned ‘You think this deal is good’ and also you mention there are only ‘Pros’.
Are you sure you are not contradicting yourself? I mean where does word ‘think’ comes from when there are only ‘pros’ of the deal.
My view is that this deal has Pros only if you the beneficiary. What about other countries like Iran? Iran has even signed NPT. Why can’t they get the same deal?
How about other countries that has also not signed NPT like India.
I understand why Pakistan and North Korea not getting this prefered treatment.
If you are neutral think about what is the guarantee India will not use technology/raw material in 8 plants for defense purpose? Probably that is the reason why NSG is not approving this deal so easily.
Basically, I think this deal is good for India but unfair to some countries. Enough food for though I guess.
I would say there is more to this than the nuclear deal. Look at the history. US always has hidden agenda behind any such deals. They may make India more to rely on US resources and once it is accomplished then there you go, rocking between dictatorship and democracy or some time the middle ground. Like a democracy with a dictator sitting like a watch dog to dissolve the democratic govt when it pleases.
You think if it were such a sweet deal, Pakistan would be protesting in such a calm way. It is pre-planned thing, just sit back and watch how they get trapped or not get trapped.
In the end, all one need is a small nuclear bomb to sit around it and scare others from attacking them. What is the need for a huge high tech atomic bomb anyway. I am sure I do not understand the security thing but politically, i do not see any country using it anyway so why such a big fuss.
In the future a proxy war will be more common and cheaper to fight. It is becoming expensive for weaker countries to maintain army and in the end the army leave everything behind and run away for the other army to collect or blow it up. There are recent examples in front of you. With such changes nuclear weapons will be of no use to anyone. Except Russia< USA and China and they will not fight with each other to begin with at least for a century a real war but proxy wars will go on.
What kind of hidden agenda do you see? India had been getting help for former USSR but what happened after that? I do not anything wrong but rather India progressed after mutiny.
By the way, India will not be using US resources only but there are 45 countries part of NSG.
Sweet or bitter, I know Pakistan has already asked for same deal when Pakistani PM visited USA sometimes this month. USA flatly rejected. PM was not happy and conveyed this to news media. How else do you expect Pakistan to protest?
This deal is not meant to make atomic bombs but to use it for peaceful purpose for example generating power.
I think India is trying to get this deal on its own term. Today as well India refused to sign CTBT when prompted by NSG members. I still want to know the benefit USA will get out of this.
The only negative of this deal I can see is that it will send wrong message to other nations in regards to NPT

The Indo-US deal has pure commercial interests for US and no hidden agenda. Its a win-win situation for both and it not only meets to some extent India's growing energy needs, but also end the nuclear isolation.
As for Pakistan not making a strong protest is because they just cannot based on their poor proliferation record.
I think this should clear some doubts.
