Since we are so close to the boxing day, I would suggest to wait till then. I think you will find better prices during boxing day/week for 40 " lcd's if not the same

Does 899 sound good ?

Good luck!!

Please check 2001 Audio Video also ... They hv a weekly flier and I do remember some good prices for LCD s .... Plus I recall Bad Boy as well selling some Samsung LCD (46'') for 999... check these out ..... plus Brick and Leon also might be lining deals for the Boxing Day ....

If I were you , I would prepare an itinerary for above stores on Boxing Day , cover them up in the first round of visits and then decide n buy on the day itself ... All the best ...

HI !
The biggest difference between 550 and 530 is of USB port availibility .
If you budget allows go for 7 series with DLNA feature . You can upload your photos/music/video wireless. If you like you can watch online movies7 directly on the big screen . 7 Series TV also have a very good picture quality even with analog signals ( in case you dont have rogers HD box ) . You can connect 7 series TV with internet directly and watch weather / News / stocks while watching TV .
If you have any specific querry , please feel free to write .

Hello folks,

Atlast i bought my TV:)
Went to future shop at scarborough.Approached a desi guy....told him our requirments.we made it quite easy for him as it was all decided so didnt waste his time. After good bargaining we got...

Samsung tv 40" plus blue ray for $999
He gave us service plan for 4 years for $230
HD box $99
power surge protector $25

On total i ended paying $1500.
Thanq for one and all who took time to respond to my query

Congrats on your purchase

Did he inform you that you can get the same box for $20.00 for your first year? If not, please get back to him and have it rectified. You can always buy/rent the HD box after 1 year. Depending upon the promotion at that time, you might also get it for free/cheaper.

Hiren
