My wife just landed about a couple months back, and she has an Instrumentation Engineering Degree from India and was looking into what the best options were to recognize that Degree here in Canada... Whether we just go to University of Toronto, or get it accredited in any other way, wondered what the cost would be as well??

Any help is appreciated

Thanks in advance..

I used ICAS and found them quite quick. They were also the cheapest (atleast a year ago) and easiest in terms of applying - compared to the others. They are located in Guelph - very close to the University,

Just a note - though ICAS states that they need documents/copies of only the degree you want evaluated, I found that they needed copies of the undergraduate degree also.

Recommend that you submit paperwork only for the degree you want evaluated - and if they insist on papers for the earlier degree, provide that "reluctantly" - telling them that you will not pay for evaluation of the earlier degree.

Link for ICAS follows -

Rgds and good luck,

Newboyo

p.s ICAS will accpet photocopies of the degree certificate+ marksheets, al long as they can see the originals. The copies need to be attested by you and not by a notary.

We (Me and my husband) got it done through WES ,quite easy process.
fees :around $120 ,although this was 3 years before.
They do need degree directly from university so you should have somebody who can submit request on your behalf to send copy of attested degree through registrar to WES.
our fees was paid by COSTI becaz at that time we were registered to them so actually we have n't spend any fees to WES. you might have to attend few orientation with them to get coupons for fees.
I hope this might help.

I believe it is better for engineers to get it done from 'engineers canada' . The link is given below. The fees is CAD 175.00. I have applied a few days back.
