I have HP laptop with Intel processor. Few days back small amount of water (like one spoon I guess) was fallen on mouse pad and entered. I cleared at my best and used hair dryer to dry it and it started working properly after few hours.
Now what’s happening…while working, suddenly the screen turns while & pink and machine gets hanged. I restarted it and it was working but again the same problem.
Is it because of the water or some other problem? Anybody has the same experience? Is it fine to get it checked with some technician? If yes, any best technician in Brampton or Mississauga. Please advice.
Thanks!

I have a similar problem with a Compaq laptop bought 6 months ago.
A small child in my house poured a tumbler of water on the table in which the laptop was and some drops entered the USB outlet. After a day both my USB ports on the right side stopped working. I have connected my house to the USB port on the lelft side.
It looks like water is the greatest enemy of laptops.
Any way we can return the laptop to the manufacturing company and get a new one?

Yes you can contact the manufacturer for sure. However water damage is not under warranty. So be prepared to cough up money even though its under warranty.
You can omit the fact that you spilled water over your laptop, and i cant speculate on the consequences

I wish I could return it to the company and get a new one.
I need to check the warranty and if it's not under warranty now...what next?
Any suggestions??? No desi in IT hardware yet?
