Hi Friends,
I dropped my oci app on 3june 09, I have not received my original documents which we submit along with application back?
What is the time line for receiving the original docs, ? normally
Any one who has recently gone through the procedure plz share your experiences.

I dropped off the orginals on June 5th Friday. Status on in.vfsglobal.ca shows nothing more than drop off date.

They told me it would take 2 weeks for the originals to be returned.

Peacock1 and others, please post any updates in this thread.

Here's an interesting discovery. I entered the CANT number noted on the receipt provided by the VFS on the mha.nic.in website. This CANT number is different from what I have in my applications. Well, what I saw are the records of other people, their full name, when documents were processed and so on.

What the heck is going on? I was able to access records of 3 different individuals using the 3 CANT number I have on my receipt.

Hi Dimple,
I think the Ind consulate is not upgrading the status as it goes, I am thinking of visiting it personally one of these days, phones are a total waste, I spend at least 30 min every day (different times of day) dialling without luck

Hi Peacock1,

Thanks for the prompt feedback. Could you post your update after your visit to VFS? I live in Windsor and don't have the luxury to take up the 350 km hike just to turn around empty handed. I am going to wait to 1 more week and then see what to do next. No luck on the phone for me either.

Hi Dimple,
Don't even think of making a trip to TO VFS office, you may do so if you're visiting TO anyways, but special visit to VFS is not recomended, the attitude is like any other typical Ind. organisation, in Canandian way, not demeaning to our country in any way , I love my India, but this typical attitude of individuals does irritate us.
