Are there any Cons of OCI ? Is there any reason why one should not take OCI ?

There is no negative that I know of. You will be still and only Canadian citizen after getting OCI too.

I took because it was pain to apply for visit visa at Indian High Commission. Now I have it, I do not have to go to their office for visa atleast. My experience with Indian Hgh Commis was always good one but when I hear horror stories from other individual, I do not want to go through that.

I heard , once you have OCI, and for some reason u r stuck in some other country, canadian govmt is not responsible for you ....where as if u do not have oci and only cdn citizen, cdn govmt might help u return to canada ??

Regardless of your OCI status(OCI does not make you an Indian citizen or Citizen with dual nationality), you are a Canadian citizen, and being a Canadian national you enjoy all the benefits one can get as a Canadian national.

No, that doesn't make any sense.
In fact, even if you are stuck in a country that doesn't have Canadian embassy, your Canadian citizenship entitles you to go to a British embassy and ask for the same help.
Canadians are, after all, still British Subjects (sans the stiff upper lip, of course).

However, an OCI may not be equal to an Indian citizen in similar circumstances.
Maybe someone else who has investigated this aspect or had experience can clarify that.

I'm not 100% sure of this. But is it possible that for some federal jobs (RCMP, CRA, etc) the OCI might raise few additional questions/queries?
