New Delhi, Jul 13: A very interesting theory developed by a defense expert states that China will attack India by 2012. And that this will be an attempt to divert the country's citizens' attention from the 'unprecedented' internal turmoil and financial issues that is growing into a threatening situation for the Communists.

"China will launch an attack on India before 2012. There are multiple reasons for a desperate Beijing to teach India the final lesson, thereby ensuring Chinese supremacy in Asia in this century," claims Bharat Verma, Editor of the Indian Defence Review.

Apart from the financial troubles such as unemployment, flight of capital worth billions of dollars, depletion of its foreign exchange reserves and growing internal dissent brought in by recession; the increasing 'irrelevance of Pakistan' that operates against India has the Communists nervous.

"Above all, it is worried over the growing alliance of India with the US and the West, because the alliance has the potential to create a technologically superior counterpoise," Verma says.

And according to him, China will choose to wage a war against 'pacifist India to achieve multiple strategic objectives' by 2012.



My point - Can't be.. At last is a nuclear power nation, Any country attacking India directly would be foolish enough to cause damage to their own infrastructure and resources which would be years to come to resurrect. That is why the rebel groups are fed by the big guys. Remember the Kargil, the army on the other side was not directly involved. Never know how many such rebel groups are supported by India to wage such conflicts in other nation eg.., LTTE.

Interesting thought but really, does China need to wage a war with India to achieve its goals. I dont think so. All they need to do is prop up Pak, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Burma a little bit & support the Marxist & Maoist forces in India. This time tested method has yielded them dividends beyond India's comprehension as the Indians are busy with their secularism, caste, aam aadmi and appeasement based politics with no future vision. From assessment of what has happened in the recent past, one can foresee only increase in such policies of every elected govt in India. In short only anti national policies are getting more support in every election and so the elected in India are a bunch of jokers which is the biggest dividend China gets and deservedly so for all its efforts and is very encouraging for them to continue to do so.
No doubt India is a lot closer to US now than before, economically better militarily better equipped, but so is China. Better and smarter in every way than what they were in 1962.
