I think this was just a harmless post highlighting Gujarat's strengths. So be it.

I bet we all can scurry up and scour the internet for our state's stats and number. If we can do it without getting defensive then we might learn about each others' states rather than perceive each other as adversaries.

Just wondering, aren’t there other “gems”? What about weaknesses? If only the strengths are highlighted, then its one side of the story.

The thread is questionable.

If Gujarat is the gem of India, by logic implies all other indian states are less.

Anyway I am happy if the GEM of India would be a new state every year .. that would mean all states are improving.

It was a harmless and infact an informative post from Peacock1. I had 2 doubts in that.

Well, we talked about dividing the whole CD community over this and finally settled with the world peace. Amazing.

Quickly we realized that we called for world peace too early and started again.
Truely amazing.

For the sake of discussion, the title says Gujarat - gem of India, but never says Gujarat is the only gem of India. There can be many gems; if anyone thinks theirs is also a gem, please bring it on.

maybe title should say Gujurat state - **A** GEM of India.
