For those who can travel to HWY7 after 11:00 PM to fill up gas tanks. Shell price is all day low at these gas stations HWY7 & Jane and HWY7 & keele. Yesterday680 news was quoting price as $1.20 / lt., I baught gas at $0.94 / lt. from HWY7 & Jane at 11:20PM

I have stopped using the car for the last month and half. I mean its just parked in the lot. I have suspended insurance on it. I see a saving of approx 250+ /month.
I dont need it for the time being.

Apart from checking the cheapest gas prices we can keep track of our expenses for feeling up the gas too. This matters much for guys like me driving almost 100 kms a day for work. There are many handy tips and of course, the discussion about how to maintain better average. Nice website!

As heard from radio, I think it makes sense

Keep within the posted limit.
Give gradual pressure on Gas padle while accelarating.
Avoid breaking quite often (Instead ease on gas, if you need to slow down)
Keep your following distance enough so that you don't need to break all of a sudden.
The otimum speed for most car is 90 kms/hour on highway

How much we are going to save by doing this - 10 percent? 5 percent?

Arey, it is not only being by email, on many mainstream radio stations also they are tolding people not to filling up petrol today, yaar.
Even on internal memo in office yesterday they are sending out email to everybody to be showing solidarity by not to buying petrol today.
One radio station ta saying to going to petrol station and filling up only $6.21 exactly, yaar
