Hi
My parents have USA greencard. They came to canada and flew from Canada to India.
My questions is can they directly land Canada on USA greencard ? or they have to come via USA.
My another question is if they stayed more then one year in India and then if they come back to Canada, Do they allowed my parents on GC ?
In cic.gc.ca they have mentioned that USA greencard are not required to take Canada's Visa so in that case they can come directly over canada but as per USA websight if they are out of USA for more then one year then, GC is not valid as they have not done renetry permitt. So on that basis Can they come to Canada ?
Any help in above answers are great help.

It all depends on your expiration date of your parents GC Card. If the GC is valid, they can enter canada and US anytime. The sooner they enter the better for them.
Canada Govt doesn't care, as far as you have valid GC.

well, technically they will ask you how long you stayed outside USA, at that point if they lied and get caught, you can imagine what could happen.
Legally If you remain outside the U.S. for any longer than six months at a time, CBP can place you into removal proceedings and charge you as abandoning your residence. It is critical to remember that your "green card" is merely a document indicating you are a "permanent resident." A permanent resident is someone who intends to remain in the U.S. indefinitely. If you have already made the determination in your mind that you want to leave, you are technically in violation of your status.
However, You can ask for a special waiver that will let you leave the US for until 2 years and come back like nothing have never happened, that's your best bet. You need a good reason for it - so seeing an immigration attorney is the best way.
Getting this 2 years waiver to leave and come back is the thing for you - Please consult with an attorney and fully discuss your personal situation as to why you need to remain outside the U.S. for extended periods of time.
