Hi,

I applied for Canadian citizenship on June 15, 2009. I have received the acknowledgement letter dated December 23, 2009. I am wondering how long it would take before I get my citizenship. I am in Toronto.
The letter says it would take another 12-13 months.

we apply in sept 2008 and gave written test in dec 2009 but oath is so quick that we will take it in jan2010. so wait for a year atleast for written test. I believe you have to prepare the written test from the new edition of book

same letter says it would take another 12-13 months. that means we have to wait again for one year for test or what?

what a such long waiting time??

I applied in May,2009 and got the acknowledgement letter on Frida i.e. January15,2009. I was wondering when would I get itimation about written test? How long it normally takes to get the date for written test?

I would appreciate your inputs.

Normally 10-12 months from the time CIC received your file or 4-6 months after the file is transferred to the local office.

Thanks very much desi-friend for your reply. We are two adults who applied for citizenship however we got one booklet instead of two.

Is there any way I can get a second copy?
