A friend of mine whose father had a heart issue (although he never had a heart attack) was refused his PR on medical grounds. My friend is now appealing the decision through a lawyer.

If the current processing time stays at 33 months, you sponsorhip will be approved by December 2010, which is when you will hear from CIC

This is scary. Our aged parents are bound to have some medical problem or the other.
