hi friends

I dont know why Indians keep staying in canada. From high positions you are reduced to minions - at best security guards barring a few lucky ones . I have heard many excuses like "we all have to go thru it," "thats how life is here" "if you dont like it leave it. Is it worth it?

After 8 yrs of trying to find even a $20 per hr job - and failing to do so I am back in India as head of a hospital where the care is far superior to any Canadian hospital. You can see a specialist / get a CT scan and even get operated in less than one hr and the bill - dont laugh, max $ 4,500.00 if you have had a neuro operation. Aur pyar hi pyar be-shamaar!

Chak dey India!!

Kuchh akal kar Canada!!!

Congratulations !

1. Not all are dissatisfied / or doing minimal jobs...
2. Not all could do better in India...some can not achieve in India what they are achieving here based on their qualifications...
3. You are right for some who are not doing so good, could do better in India ...and are unable to take the bold step of returning back...or are sacrificing for next generations betterment ??

Glad it all worked out for you the way you want. Congratulations!
I agree with Aashu 100%.
And if those answers do not satisfy ... maybe it just boils down to each one's destiny.. where they are supposed to be and do.

I am surprised that during your 8 yrs of stay here , you never wrote a single line on CANADIAN DESI . Now that you are back and working as a Hospital Head , you not only find this amazing site but spare your valuable time to contribute and enlighten us all . Thanx and best of luck in all endeavours .
If you find time pls go through this thread

Can you point out how your hospital is better than any Canadian hospital?

We in Canada can have that operation done for almost free of charge. And how many people in India have a disposable income to pay for that kind of surgery?

I can understand your frustration, but everybody goes through different circumstances. Some were able to break that vicious cycle of minimum paying job and move forward, some are still struggling in hope of getting a break some day, and somebody decided to go back.

If you are pointing out Canadian public healthcare system, you might be surprised to know that even US is moving toward public healthcare system similar to Canada or some European countries for underprivileged.

some of the wonderful and invaluable services of canada are :

1. you can get admission in school within 15-20 mts and same day your child can join school, admission is open throughout year from sept till mid june and there is no discrimination of caste, religion and colour etc.

2. Human being is treated as invaluable which means if you call 911 in case of emergency for eg : heart attack, stroke etc. The ambulance and doctors everything within minutes, if you don't open door within seconds of arrival of ambulance, they break the door and take the patients and give immediate medical attention. They try level best to save patients life. ($50 is to be paid for this service).

3. You can get everything done online sitting at home.

The only difficult thing about canada is you don't get job very easily and there is no job security.

Am I missing something here? This dude : Malhotra took 8 years to realize all that is lacking in health care in Canada?

Some genius here!!

I am sure there are others with sharper reflexes and a small learning curve,
