Hi All!
I am visiting Vancouver in the first week of July for about 4 days with my spouse and two young kids. Can anyone suggest a good and neat place to stay in Vancouver which is easily accesible for moving around?
Please also guide about the best mode of transport for travelling to and fro to the airport and the must see places
Would be glad if you could recommend some good eating places for desi food. I heard that some parts of the city are not safe for moving around after dark. Is it true?
Your suggestions are most welcome. Thanks in advance.

What is your budget?
- In June 2009, we had stayed in Richmond (La Qunita). It is very nice and close to the airport. We paid about C$100 per night for one room with 2 double beds.
- The free shuttle of the hotel picks you up from the airport (before 9:30PM) and drops you off as well.
- The breakfast is included in the room rate.
- The bus service is available to the places like the ferry terminal (for going to Victoria), Capilano Bridge and downtown.
- The kids below 7 years ride free in the bus.
See if this suits your needs.
The downside: There is only one small desi food place available that is next to the hotel. But lots of vietnamese restaurants are nearby in addition to a good thai place and pizza hut.

Dear All
Thanks a lot for the tips. We prefer the downtown and have shortlisted a few hotels.
Will keep you posted.
Cheers!
