These are the agencies I've lodged a multitude of complaints with so far ( yes they're working overtime now 
) about restaurants, grocery stores, quality of various food products etc..
U guys should do the same. I tell ya the quality of food here is shockingly disreputable. Last week I bought some chicken with blood in it. Needless to say, that meat shop is now under tight scrutiny. The week before I bought some canned snowpeas - hate cans and use them only in ER situations - and one pea had an insect lodged INSIDE it - and still eating it. It was a "Nupak" brand. It took me a few days to finally get the numbers for the right agencies that deal with food inspection, so I figured I'd post it here. You can call the general 1-800 number and ask for the branch in your area if you need to put in a complaint. The inspectors are usually available to talk to you in the early a.m. between 8 and 10, after that they go out on the field.

Nope. I had opened the can na, and as soon as I saw the insect I freaked out and threw it in the bin. But I had bought it at No Frills, so I called them up and told the manager as well what I'd found. He said that in generic food cans, there is always a risk. Cheap manufacture means cheap food sources. So I've stopped buying generic and look for Heinz whenever possible.

The meat guy said it was normal and that I should just cook it.. like yeah! I'm gonna give myself Listeria! Duh! After that I called the meat inspector and they are dealing with it. Forget a refund, I just don't want these sort of unsafe foods anywhere on the market - kids eat all this stuff for Heaven's sake! btw the meat hotline isn't just for meat, it's for ANY TYPE OF FOOD PRODUCT. They should re-name it, seriously.
