I must say febpreet, it is a very cute post.

To go through all phases of life.......and be able to look back at it with humour ....... is a wonderful quality. To retain a sense of humour itself seems to be an uphill task for some.

I am yet to arrive in Canada, but can understand and identify with most of your points.

Thanks Geetakhanna. Actually, to me the post is a mere humor and just points out some usual observations/generalizations. Although, I believe making a generalization is bad, but I have met a few people in these 5 years that fall in the same bracket (just to a bit extent, myself as well). Immigrants' struggle on the job front and getting settled down is another topic and I must admit quite a serious issue. The phases described in original post is just for fun sake, and not to be taken seriously.

Thanks for your kind words. All the very best for your eventual journey.

I fail to understand why you need to be apologetic at all febpreet.

Generalization is a part of life. It applies to each and every journey we make. Every idiom, rule, saying........whatever.......is nothing but a generalization.

So what if you made an observation. Theres nothing wrong. Gosh!!! Petty mindedness in some, should not take away the spiritidness of others.

To take a dig on life, including the rough patches, is wholly acceptable. It was NOT black humor of any kind.

In the end, as many will tell you, attitude is king. Your attitude is bang on. Positivity never killed anyone (unless its the HIV kinds)............

FebPreet,

A real Funny post. Thanks for making us laugh. Quite a quality to be able to laugh at situations that might wholly or partly relate to our rigours of life.

Oh BTW, Psychologically, I am curious to know the category to which those folks, who found this post insulting, belong to? I am sure science has categorized those types. Anyone has an answer? Any psychologists in here??? :)

Not being apologetic, just that I rarely make any generalizations in my real life, but yes I agree with you that these are the part of life whether someone admits it or not.
