Hi
Thank you for your time,,
1) Can I apply for surrender certi. at VFS office ? VFS website does not mention anything about Surrender certi.
2) if indian passport expire in 2005, fees are $240 fine + $20 ? how can I get exact answer how much to pay and
3) The thing web site does not mention that they accpet VISA card/ Debit card so it is very hard to make money order or DD for the perticular amount, even in canada they made procedure complecated.
4) what is the best day & time to visit this location ?
thx

thank you for the responses.... indian embessey even in canada makes things complecated like back home, i don't know why may be to remind our back home or but back home they expect some gift, here they do not get for chai pani then why they just cann't make it easy..i.e. no debit card credit card accept, what amt to make DD is complicated... anyway we missed india, so many time we complained about canada but do we appriciate canada for all these smooth service and faithfull to it...

Here is what he is saying. He works for Indian Consulate. So listen carefully :
"For this, they can approach the Indian Consulate which will make necessary entries in the records kept with us, cancel the passport and return it to you after marking it “Cancelled” for your future reference. A fee of C$20 is charged for this service. (For Indian Passport which expired on or before 31 Dec, 2004, the cancellation service is free.)
◦It is essential to keep the Surrender Certificate endorsement very carefully as that will be required while approaching Indian Consulate in future for consular services"
