is it any wise difference in study between Catholics school and regular school or in private school?
Like study wise they are way much better than regular school or what?
if this is the true than Canada is creating two or may be three kind of category in future, one is high ended study people like who studied in Catholics school, 2nd level is for private school and 3rd level is public school.
what i am understanding that Syllabus for boards are the same every where, but may be i am wrong??
all schools have same ciricullum. do not be confused....
Difference is public schools in Brampton and Mississauga are replica of Indian schools....80% students are South Asians, Rest are Orientals or East Europeans or Africans
Catholic Schools receive less funding then Public Schools. In your municipal taxes you can choose if your school taxes will go to a Public or a Catholic school. I choose public school.
People put kids in Catholic school just for bragging rights in India to their relatives of their kid going to a "convent " school.

I heard these catholic schools are funded by Tax dollors of all Canadians - then why such discrimination :
If you are a hindu and your tax money goes to Run such schools then your kids has right to go to any catholic school
I had my three kids study high school in one of the Catholic schools. I was a bit worried about acceptance. However, after talking to the Principal and giving my reasons (closer to home, canadian born kids etc.), they were accepted, even though none of the family is Christian.
The Principal said they welcome diversity as long the student and parents realise that it is a Catholic religion based school, and as such teach catholic values (attending mass etc.).
By the way I pass near the school and see kids with turbans and hijab.

I think there might be different rules in different schools..we r hindus and our son goes to catholic school...they did ask if we were Christians and we said NO...so they said they have to consult higher management and finally they accepted him...so i dont think its something to do with the system..it varies from school to school and though they teach him some religious stuff, they r very good when it comes to discipline and manners...
How old is your son, and which grade did he get admitted into?
Thanks
